I joined the military in June of 2010. After 4 years of service in a reconnaissance platoon, I took on extra duty honoring veterans who passed away through the Arkansas National Guard Military Funeral Honors team. To date, I have laid to rest over 200 veterans ranging from WWII, to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In April of 2015, on my way home from a funeral detail, I was hit by a drunk driver which resulted in the loss of my left leg below the knee. Today, I am still a member of the Arkansas National Guard and doing my best to show everyone that no matter what life throws at you, you have to get up and keep moving forward.
